On the holidays I decided to go for a bike ride, just messing around, looking for jumps. When we came back to school on the first week of term the teacher asked us to write a recount about our holidays so I decided to write about this.

 

BMX Ride

*Doof* *doof* went the wheels as I landed a jump on my new, silver chromed bike. On the holidays I decided to go for a bike ride around Endeavour Hills, by myself looking for jumps and ramps just for the fun of it.

I found some hills, slopes and curbs near the Chalcot Lodge car-park. That you could use as jumps and but only if you literally jump with the bike, doing a bunny-hop. Thank-fully the slopes worked like I hoped and not just going down the hill.

Unfortunately like an idiot I tried making a gap jump between two curbs in a car park but i didn’t make the jump and had a weird landing. Luckily i wasn’t hurt It was just a couple of cuts. But i learnt my lesson, I need to go even faster. Don’t ask why I even tried to make the jump.

I finally had to go home this time not doing anything stupid and then cleaned up my bike. I still want to go back and do that jump again but this time make it.

I dream about becoming a professional BMX rider or join the Nitro Circus. I was inspired to do jumps on my BMX after I went to watch the Nitro Circus and watched the X-games on TV. I do stunts on my BMX for enjoyment and BMX is similar to freestyle motor-cross, which I would like to do, If my parents would let me.
